Project Everyone / The Global Goals / The UN

The film that didn’t need millions of views.
It needed 193.

In 2015, 193 world leaders agreed to the Sustainable Development Goals. But by 2022 progress had stalled. To make leaders prioritise action for the SDGS at UNGA77, we tailored our communication to the unique opportunity but smallest of windows to be ‘in the room’ on Day 1 of the UN General Assembly 2022.

By delivering our message where 193 of the world’s most important decision makers would be gathered, we aimed to cement the World’s To-Do List in the minds of world leaders and ensure it would drive every decision they made that week.

Impact

The World’s To-Do List was directly referenced in speeches by: Justin Trudeau (Prime Minister of Canada), Mia Motley (Prime Minister of Barbados), Priyanka Chopra-Jonas (Ambassador for UNICEF), Csaba Kőrösi (President of UNGA) and António Guterres (the UN Secretary General).

The World’s To-Do List, and the symbol of the sticky notes, has become the official way to talk about the SDGs.

“The Global Goals are the World’s To-Do List. They must be the to-do list of all leaders in this room.”
- Csaba Kőrösi (President of UNGA)

“Our SDG goals aren’t just a blueprint or a to-do list, they’re an urgent call for action.”
- Justin Trudeau (Prime Minister of Canada)

“That short film by Project Everyone is a rallying call. The World’s To-Do List. And it’s a powerful message.”
Juju Chan (ABC News)

“The world has a long to-do list.”
António Guterres (UN Secretary General)
